Jane’s Walk is a worldwide celebration of free, volunteer-led neighborhood walks the first weekend of May. The annual event encourages people to share stories about their neighborhoods, discover unseen assets, and use the art of walking as a way to connect with others. Jane’s Walk is named for Jane Jacobs (1916-2006), author of the 1961 book “The Death and Life of Great American Cities.” This marks the sixth year that the walks have taken place in Albuquerque.
Parkland Village is sponsoring the Parkland Hills walk. Admire the Mid-century homes, pocket parks, and curving streets of Parkland Hills Addition. The leaders of this walk are our own Kate Matthews, Ellen Kerst and John Comstock!
Registration begins in April. To register, follow @walkalbuquerque on Instagram or visit https://gentleartofwandering.com/walk.
